Founded in 2015, Ben K Dental Laboratory is a modernized denture lab located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. We specialize in customized titanium frameworks, BPS/SEMCD dentures, removable dentures, dental crowns, and implants.
We proudly serve as the trusted authorized distributor of COXO intraoral scanners, driving digital transformation in dental practices across Malaysia.
At present, our denture lab proudly serves around 6% of the market and continues to build stable, long-term partnerships with dental clinics nationwide. Looking Ahead to Capture Success
Naturally, we aimed to introduce more high-quality dental technologies and talents from abroad in 2023, enhance our denture production capabilities, and better serve clinics across Malaysia, while expanding into the Southeast Asian market as our near-future goal.
In 2025, we partnered with COXO to promote digital dentistry in Malaysia. As the main distributor of the COXO Intraoral Scanner DL-300P, we help more dentists experience the benefits of a fully digital workflow.

Building a Tight-Knit Team
Today’s Ben K Dental Lab has expanded from a small dental laboratory that was operated by 2 people to a medium-sized company of 16 people.
The Key is Making More Improvements
Not only that, the business is now also equipped with a great number of modern equipment such as 3D printers, dental 3D scanners, acrylic and flexible injection machines, 5-axis milling machines, UV curing boxes, and the like, all of which assist us by partially-automating our denturemaking process.

Converting Company Status
After discussing and concluding that converting our partnership to a Sendirian Berhad would be more suitable for our brand, we made the relevant applications and successfully went through the process.

During the outbreak of the COVID pandemic in 2020, Ben found that the demand for dentures in the market was not only unaffected, but in fact displayed an upward trend.

One Step at a Time
We only started to recruit more members into our team after setting up an office and a proper lab for the brand. But an issue immediately arises to test our mettle. Ben K Dental Lab faced the same problem that plagued and still plagues its many peers: our excessive dependence on the craftsmanship of our employees and the difficulty in recruiting more local experts to share the workload.
Long Training Process
Each time a new employee was hired, it was inevitable of the company to spend a lot of energy and resources in their learning process. From the intricacy of work preparation to actual skillsets like tooth arrangement, sintering and trimming to the downstream tasks of sales and shipping, it takes an average of 9-12 months for new recruits to stand on their own two feet.
